Parking

Participants who are lodged at the Indiana Memorial Union will receive free parking in one of two lots adjacent to the building.

Commuters or participants staying off campus may park in one of the two lots adjoining the Indiana Memorial Union. Discounted parking passes will be available for conference participants at the registration check-in desk.

Lodging

Host Hotel: INDIANA MEMORIAL UNION (IMU) 900 East 7th Street Bloomington, IN 47405

The Indiana Memorial Union operates as a hotel, a conference center and a student union. The Opening Reception, all sessions and some of the meal and social functions of the Society will be centered in the Indiana Memorial Union. For your convenience, we ecommend that you book your hotel reservations at the IMU

Contact the hotel directly. Inform the reservation staff person that you are attending the Society of Experimental Psychologist (SEP) meeting. Unless you identify yourself as a conference participant, you may be unable to obtain a room.

We encourage you to make your reservation early as accommodations are often difficult to secure during the month of April – a busy time of year for many campus activities. The SEP block of hotel rooms will be released to the general public on March 9, 2008.

Hotel room rates are based on:
Type of room (single or double)
Weekday (Sun-Thurs) or weekend (Fri & Sat) check-in

The following are representative room charges projected for April 2008:
Single, weekday room w/one double bed $ 88.00
Single, weekday room w/one king bed $120.00
Double, weekday room w/2 double beds $115.00
Double, weekday room w/2 king beds $120.00
Suite, weekday w/2 double beds,parlor,bath $220.00
Weekend rates are approximately $20.00 per day additional charge. All rooms are subject to an 11% tax.

Internet Access Hardwire and wireless internet access is available throughout the IMU.

Bloomington Area Hotels

Although we encourage you to join your colleagues by staying at the host hotel, there are a number of locally owned hotels, bed and breakfasts as well as national and international hotel chains available to you. Most accommodations are within easy driving distance of campus.

Food events included in your registration fee include:

Special dietary needs will be accommodated at all food functions. When you register for the conference, you will be given the opportunity to identify any special dietary needs. Foods will be selected to assure that your requests are met.

Dining in Bloomington

There are many pleasant pubs, restaurants and coffee houses located a short walking distance from campus. A comprehensive Bloomington Dining Guide will be included with your conference check-in materials.
